The annual Burning Man ticket derby is about to begin. Online ticket sales begin on January 19, 2011, at 10 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. Tickets are sold in a tiered fashion with a limited number of the least expensive offered first. When the first price level sells out, it moves to the second, then the third. For 2011, there will be 9,000 tickets at each of the first three levels ($210, $240, and $280 respectively), then an unspecified number at $320 “while supplies last.”
If you really want to get online and jockey for some of the lower priced tickets, be sure to read the 2011 Burning Man Ticket Information page ahead of time. Tickets go fast – good luck and may the force be with you. Burning Man 2011 is August 29 – September 5. The 2011 art theme is Rites of Passage.
